Minoan Octopus Gold Plated Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet

The Minoan 7-legged octopus, also known as the 7-armed octopus, is a significant artifact from the Minoan civilization. This octopus, which is a representation of the marine species Haliphron atlanticus, was discovered in a grave circle in Mycenae and is believed to have been buried by elite Mycenaeans around 1550 BCE. The octopus is notable for its unusual number of arms, which is most unusual for an octopus. It is estimated to have weighed 90 kilos and reached lengths of 5-6 meters during the Bronze Age. The octopus motifs in the grave indicate the Mycenaeans' connection to the sea and their understanding of marine life. Made of 925 Sterling Silver, and gold plated in Athens Greece. Cuff opens on the side to fit it properly and has a safety clip to keep it in place.

Match with the same design necklace.
