The Neptune Collection - Sterling Silver Pendant - Seahorse and Opal (18mm)

Sterling silver pendant features opal gemstones on a Seahorse. In Greek Mythology, Poseidon is sometimes depicted riding a chariot pulled by sea horses. The opal is iridescent meaning the look and reflections change when you view it from different directions. The back of the pendant has a fine "punched silver" texture. The generous-sized sterling silver ring attached to the top (loop approx. 3mm) allows this beautiful charm to be strung on almost any chain or cord of your choice.

Silver snake chains and rubber cords are available separately for all pendants. Follow the links below:

History
In Greek mythology, Poseidon (Greek: Ποσειδῶν) was the god of the sea and, as "Earth-Shaker," of earthquakes. The name of the god Nethuns in Etruscan was adopted in Latin for Neptune in Roman mythology: both were sea gods analogous to Poseidon. Linear B tablets show that Poseidon was venerated at Pylos and Thebes in pre-Olympian Bronze Age Greece, but he was integrated into the Olympian gods as the brother of Zeus and Hades.
