Twenty Lepta Keychain with Evil Eye 121028
Handmade in Greece using non-precious metals and stones
This keychain set brings back memories of the drahma days and the 20 lepta coin (the dekara as was known). The 20 lepta coin was one of the most memorable coins of Greece since it featured a hole in the middle. Minted in the 50's and 60's this coin was not of great monetary value but was used extensively in daily transactions since it could pay for a bus ride, a loaf of bread, or candy at the periptero. Finding one was considered a sign of good fortune and the coin was often used as a good luck charm.
The coins used on this set are replicas of the original coin and have no monetary or collectible value.
