Scattered around the blue waters of the Ionian and Aegean
Seas, the Greek Islands are some of Europe's favorite holiday
destinations. With over 1,400 islands, there's one to meet every traveler's
taste. Traveler Megan McCormick starts her Aegean adventure on Hydra
for the celebrations of the Miaoulia festival. She then travels to the holy isle
of Patmos before retracing her steps to the mainland and catching the ferry to
the party island of Mykonos. After a stop in Crete, the largest of the Greek
islands, she ends her journey at Gavdos, Europe's most southerly landmass.
