When a sorceress foretells that the grandson of King Argos will grow up to cause his death, the king locks away his daughter Gamay, to prevent a future birth. But no bars or walls can keep out Zeus, who fathers her child Perseus. Gamay and Perseus escape captivity and spend the next decade in peace. When evil King Polydektes threatens his mother, Perseus brings him the head of Medusa, which turns the King to stone. Now Perseus and his mother are free to return to Argos and fulfill the oracle.
