Spinning Top, 16th century BC, Archaelogical Museum of Athens, with Stand

Ancient Oversized Spinning top ("Svoura") replica, original on display at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. This is an accurate replica of one date around the 16th century BC.  It includes a metallic stand for display. Each replica sold may vary slightly from the photo as there are numerous decorations on the tops displayed at the museum. The variation depends on the original used as a model for each one.

This fine museum quality replica is a unique "one of a kind" ceramic reproduction made from clay originating from the same fields where the original was found to ensure the same "look and feel" as the actual pqe. All paint decorations were also made replicating methods used by potters of the particular period. This is why this item is hard to distinguish from the original and requires the attached traditional lead stamp (shown as part of the description tag) that identifies it as a reproduction made by an authorized artist. Like the actual museum displays each piece is tagged with its description.
